Travel confidently with our cancellation and curtailment insurance. With this coverage, you can cancel or modify your trip due to unforeseen circumstances beyond your control.

If a covered reason comes up – such as injury, illness, unexpected jury duty, armed forces duty or home/business damage – you're protected.

This applies to you as well as your close relatives, travel companions and those you stay with during your trip. Unforeseen delays, adverse weather and more are also included.

Get reimbursed for pre-paid travel, accommodation, excursions and additional expenses – so you can travel confidently, knowing that life's uncertainties won't hinder your plans.

Main exclusions

  • Government body advising against travel due to a pandemic
  • Any cost increase if failure to notify the trip cancellation provider
  • Unused travel tickets to a destination where we have already paid for alternative travel arrangements
  • Any rebooking costs that exceed the cost of your original booking
  • Expenses when alternative travel arrangements have been made available within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time

Documents needed to file a claim

  • Invoice or receipt for your trip
  • Original booking for unused pre-paid excursion
  • Booking invoice for a new flight (curtailment only)
  • Medical certificate in case of injury or illness
  • Other proof of cancellation (if not medical)
  • Proof from the carrier if cancellation is due to a 24h delay

Delayed departure

Delayed departure
more than a 6-hour period up to 300

Compensates you for delayed outward or homeward journeys of more than 6 hours due to a covered reason that was unforeseen.

Covered reasons include strikes or industrial action, adverse weather conditions and mechanical breakdowns or technical faults in scheduled public transport. To qualify, you must have attempted to check in and have received confirmation of the delay details from the carrier.

Main exclusions

  • Check-in after the check-in counters have closed
  • Strike, industrial action, air traffic control delay that is existing or publicly declared when booking the trip
  • Costs paid by any provider

  • Invoice or receipts for emergency purchases

Hijack

Hijack
Up to 500

Compensates you with a lump sum in case the aircraft or sea vessel in which you are travelling is hijacked during unlawful, wrongful or illegal seizure.

Main exclusions

  • Privately chartered airplanes or sea vessels
  • Sea vessels or airplanes that you sail or pilot yourself
